There’s nowhere quite like the Maldives. It’s still, warm, and completely detached from everything else. In the best way.

This trip was designed for a proper break. Two weeks across two islands, both small, independent, and very different.

It starts with Gili Lankanfushi, which is just a short speedboat from Malé. Ideal after a long international flight. The seaplane to Milaidhoo comes later, once you’ve settled in, and feels more like an experience than just a transfer.

It’s not an itinerary packed with sightseeing. That’s the point. It’s about space, sunlight, good food, and time that actually feels like yours.

Gili Lankanfushi (7 Nights)

Gili is one of those places that gets it right without trying too hard. It’s easygoing, open, and quietly luxurious. Villas are spaced far apart, all overwater, and built with natural materials. There’s no schedule to follow, and no interruptions.

On your first night, you’ll dine under the stars. Just you, the ocean, and a table set up on the sand. A couple of days later, a private beach barbecue with your own chef offers something more indulgent. Simple grilled seafood, great wine, and no one else around.

Days are yours to shape. Snorkel off the jetty, kayak around the island, or book a treatment at the overwater spa. On day four, you’ll head out for a catamaran sail, followed by dinner in the resort’s underground wine cellar, hosted by the sommelier.

There’s also a full-day yacht trip in search of whale sharks, with lunch served onboard and time to swim or snorkel along the way. One evening ends with a slow cruise on a traditional wooden dhoni as the sun goes down.

Across the week, things stay wonderfully simple. No shoes. Plenty of sea. And just enough to do if you feel like doing it.

Milaidhoo (7 Nights)

Milaidhoo feels different from the moment you arrive. It’s smaller, more polished, and built with real intention. Everything is carefully thought through, from the design of the water villas to the way Maldivian culture is layered into the experience.

You’ll stay in a Water Villa with a private pool, positioned right over the lagoon. Mornings begin with a floating breakfast delivered to your deck. This is the kind of place where even breakfast feels like something worth slowing down for.

During the week, you’ll have the chance to connect more with the island’s story. One morning includes a cooking class with a local chef, giving you a hands-on introduction to Maldivian spices and coastal flavours. Another evening is reserved for a private cocktail tasting with the resident mixologist, who’ll tailor each drink to your tastes.

Outside of that, your time is completely your own. You can snorkel straight from your villa, book a spa treatment, or just read by the pool in total peace.

Everything works seamlessly. It’s an island that knows exactly what it’s doing, without needing to shout about it.

Two weeks across two islands sounds simple. And that’s the point. No overplanning. No complicated logistics. Just clear water, thoughtful service, and the kind of break that makes you feel better in ways you didn’t realise you needed.

Gili gives you space and barefoot comfort. Milaidhoo offers stillness, depth, and a strong sense of place. Together, they create something that feels complete. You land tired, and leave feeling like yourself again.

This itinerary costs around $44,000 for two people, including accommodation on a half board basis and all transfers. Activities such as private dinners, cruises, and excursions are additional and can be tailored to your preferences. Final pricing will depend on the time of year and the details of your trip.
